The Vespa ET4 models of the first generation have a so-called immobilizer. The original ignition key has a chip which only releases the ignition when the code is correct. A counterfeit key will therefore not let the vehicle start.
This CDI is suitable for bypassing the original immobilizer. Simply install this CDI without immobilizer and lay a separate cable from the CDI to the ignition coil (approx. 30cm 1.5mm² cable with two flat plugs). Insulate the remaining multi-connector waterproof and fix it with a cable tie.
