Description
Clutch cover POLINI for Vespa Smallframe PK XL2, PK HP and to convert for V50, PV, ET3, PK S, PK XL
Successful reproduction of the clutch cover of the Vespa PK XL2 models no longer available on the part of Piaggio
The operation of the clutch of the older Vespa Smallframe models can be significantly improved with the cover type of the PK XL2 models.
Due to a serration on the lever and clutch pressure mushroom, the operation of the clutch is much easier.
-
Significantly easier operation of the clutch
-
Scope of delivery includes gasket, clutch arm, shaft as well as gear teeth
Polini offers their clutch cover in two versions:
- P1700307 – With short, straight clutch lever arm for V50, PV, ET3 (until 1977)
- P1700308 – With long, cranked clutch lever arm for PK S, PK XL, PK XL2 , PK HP as well as V50 Special, PV, ET3 (from year 1977 on)
Item P1700308 has a lever with two possible positions for hooking the clutch cable.
The position further inside the lever is for 125cc vehicles, the position further outside is for 50cc vehicles.
UPGRADE FOR V50, PV, ET3, PK S, PK XL
In principle, the cover with the long arm (P1700308) can also be used on the older vehicles. The longer lever reduces again the operating forces on the clutch lever. On vehicles built before 1977, however, the cable holder (7674959 or P2140139) of the models from 1977 onwards is then required (otherwise the clutch cable runs at a very unfavorable angle).
If you don’t use a PK XL2 clutch, we recommend our mounted pressure plate for the PK XL2 models (BGM8015) to equalize the dimensional difference between the old and the new cover.
Another useful addition is a new well-sliding clutch cable with plastic inner cover from BGM Pro. This reduces the necessary forces on the clutch lever again significantly compared to an old original train, for example, a V50.
