Description
Hybrid crankshaft with 60mm stroke instead of the original 57mm, suitable for the old Vespa models with large chassis, up to 150cc and small cone on the alternator side of the crankshaft. The best known of these models is certainly the Sprint (not Veloce!) as well as the GT and VBB models.
With this crankshaft two crankshaft types were merged together.
The whole construction up to the alternator cone corresponds to the old specification for the Sprint engines.
The cone for the flywheel, however, was manufactured with the dimensions of the later PX models. This brings not only stability advantages with itself, since the stump is now substantially thicker and the possibility offers to be able to use an electronic PX ignition.
These are still original as well as in performance-enhanced version of BGM available.
Therefore, with this type of shaft, you can increase the light output and reliability many times over without much effort, while retaining the original engine.
This shaft is manufactured in small series by the Italian traditional crankshaft manufacturer Mazzucchelli.
