The conventional main shaft of the large frame models has no detent points for the gearshift cross, as this takes over the gearshift detent in original operation.

Crimaz has addressed this problem and developed a new type of mainshaft with integrated fixed detent points for the individual gears.

Here he uses a similar principle as it is done in the Smallframe mainshaft ,or Lambretta. In the shaft of the hollow drilled mainshaft now work 3 balls, which engage over springs in the recess of a spindle. The original shift pin as well as the shift cross can be used.

The only small restriction is that primary wheels with maximum Ø115mm can be used.
